HOW OUR PLAYER DRAFT WORKS

As of July 15th, 2017: When you join and become an HBL player member, you can select the pre-draft team of your choice (teams are labeled 1 - 16 in the player pre-draft application).  You will then be added to that team's roster and website that you have selected.

The best way for players to create their own teams is to have someone purchase a team license. Players can also let other players know which team they selected on their pre-draft application. If the team roster is not full, the player will be added to the team.

Walk-On Players do not have membership status and they do not have the option to select the team that they would like to play for.  Walk-On Players will be randomly drafted to teams by the HBL  player draft pool system. 

 

 

HOW OUR PLAYER CASH PRIZE WORKS

Our quarterly league game cash prize is ALWAYS based on the player's membership level for the quarter season in each city’s league. 

Example of Regular Season Game Cash Prize:

• 1st Round Draft Pick Player = $100 to $200 per game win

• 2nd Round Draft Pick Player = $50 to $100 per game win

• 3rd Round Draft Pick Player = $25 to $50 per game win

• Walk-On Player = $0 per game (recommended for High School and College players)

The grand total of the quarterly season "tournament" cash prize for each city is always announced on the proceeding Monday after the player draft has closed.

**All player membership payments MUST be paid online or via our player membership payment. 

 

League Directors, Team Owners, GMs, or Coaches cannot accept membership payments from players.

 

*DISCLAIMER: Cash prize payouts are based on each league location having max registration of 224 players/16 teams. The regular season and tournament cash prizes are only paid to the players that play in games for the winning teams. The regular season and tournament cash prizes are subject to be adjusted if a league location does not reach max registration 224 players/16 teams. Players can increase game cash prize payout by volunteering for mentoring/outreach activities authorized and assigned by the League Director. Player membership pricing is subject to increase at any time. All memberships fees are non-refundable, but players can cancel their membership at any time or sell their membership to another player.
